What a disappointment!
I decided to race 2 classes, 40C and 30C. I've been working on my endurance/stamina and I was well rested. The motos /heats went well except for being to excited and over shooting the first turn. The 40C class was a joke I smoked them all by a 15 second lead and won. The 30C was a little more fun but I over shot the first turn, dumped it in a corner, stalled the bike so I ended up last!
I got the hole-shot in the 40C race, was way ahead of the pack when my clutch failed! Yup, I burnt out my clutch because I over-tightened the tension since I got the bike. Oh, BTW, I have two bikes set up exactly the same incase something like this happens. But, the practice bike was waiting for foot-pegs so we didn't have enough time to swap the pegs from the clutch burnt "race bike" on to the "practice bike"! So, it was a DNS for the 30C class.
